Listen is kind of a cautionary tale. I sometimes think that if humans don't listen, nature will just take over. We see it with global warming; storms getting bigger and more frequent, fires, droughts and endangered species. This painting is meant to have a transformative feeling, full of wonder and questions. But also, the bird figure is dominant as if to say, people need to listen to the warnings nature is giving.
