My life inside the forest continues to investigate the dynamic system of support trees provide for one another. This show will be exhibiting my new piece "Wound Wood", a stump created out of recycled cardboard combined with forest garlands. Trees are incredible survivors in spite of the challenges from pests of all kinds, including us! They are as vulnerable to injuries and have their own unique system of healing.
The resources that we rely on for our everyday lives are not unlimited. My hope is that this piece invites the community to think about where the forest begins and where the cardboard box ends.
