The Forest for the Trees is a celebration of the PNW's most renowned and vital resource, the forest. With an uncertain future due to climate change, wildfires, and deforestation due to population growth, our forests are the silent bearers of these burdens. As the idiom the exhibition title is borrowed from relates to missing the "big picture," this exhibition seeks to show how the same idea relates to the practice of art-making, and, more broadly, how each of the six participating artists highlights varied and specific aspects of one great and ancient living ecosystem.
